HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10012013 - C.31RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-588-8 with Robert Green (dba East Bay Audiologists), a sole-proprietor, effective September 1, 2013, to amend Contract #26-588-6 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-588-7) to increase the payment limit by $70,000, from $460,000 to a new payment limit of $530,000, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No rate increase. BACKGROUND: On January 9, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-588-6 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-588-7) with Robert Green (dba East Bay Audiologists), for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013, for the provision of audiological evaluation services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s additional audiology services, thereby reducing overall levels of service to the community.
