HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10012013 - C.21RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21368 to add one Public Health Program Specialist I position (VBSD) at salary level ZA5 1602 ($5076.10 - 6170.03) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $123,023, including pension costs of $26,284, and will be fully funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. BACKGROUND: This position is will act as the Supportive Housing and Benefits Program Manager and will manage a $4 million program that oversees the administration of the permanent supportive housing and benefits programs within the Homeless program. This program provides support services to individuals in housing, partners with the Housing Authority to administer rental subsidies, and has expanded to provide benefits assistance to homeless individuals and the re-entry population. With the integration of programs with the Behavioral Halth Services Division, the Homeless Program will begin to expand its supportive housing program to incorporate supportive housing currently operated by Mental Health.
