HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10012013 - C.18RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21243 to reallocate on the salary schedule the Fleet Manager-Exempt (PMF1) (unrepresented) from salary plan and grade B85 1759 ($6,048-$7,351) to salary level B85 1884 ($6,845-$8,320) in the Public Works Department. FISCAL IMPACT: The total annual increase is estimated to be $20,288 and will be recovered through charges to user departments via the Fleet Services Internal Service Fund. BACKGROUND: During the last recruitment, we were unable to attract top candidates to Contra Costa County due in part to our salary and benefits for the Fleet Manager-Exempt classification was not comparable to other agencies. In January we completed a salary survey and found Contra Costa had the lowest paid Fleet Manager-Exempt classification in the nine (9) bay area counties. By making this adjustment in the salary, we will be in the median salary range in comparison to the salaries in the surrounding counties.
