HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10012013 - C.17RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No. 5006 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $60,000 from the Sheriff's Office (0255) to General Services-Fleet Replacement (0064) for the replacement of vehicles #2009, #2930 and #2938 outside of the regular replacement cycle due to accidents/collisions. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases appropriations in General Services - Fleet Replacement (0064) and reduces appropriations in the Office of the Sheriff (0255) by $60,000. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Sheriff will purchase replacement vehicles through General Services Internal Service Fund. The units being replaced were deemed total losses after vehicles #2930 and #2938 were involved in collisions and vehicle # 2009 was destroyed by fire. The financial burden for replacement of the vehicles is that of the Office of the Sheriff and the $60,000 will cover the insurance deductibles of all three units. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: There will not be adequate appropriations in the Fleet ISF (0064) to reflect the unanticipated need to purchase the three vehicles outside of the normal replacement schedule.
