APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept a grant in the
amount of $15,000 from Wells Fargo Bank Foundation for the Employment and Human Services Department to
provide consultation, training, and business information to small businesses in Contra Costa County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$15,000: 100% Wells Fargo Bank Foundation
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center of Contra Costa County (CCCSBDC) requests Board
Approval to enter into a Sub grantee/Sponsor Agreement with Wells Fargo. The expertise of CCCSBDC resources
provides much needed professional advice to Contra Costa County businesses.
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center will provide consulting, training and business information to
30 low-to-moderate (LMI) business owners or potential business owners in Contra Costa County. The purpose of this
training is to provide area businesses with professional guidance in such matters as marketing, hiring, and financial
stability.
Funding term for this project is 7/01/2013 through 6/30/2014 with a total funding amount of $15,000.
