HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09172013 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a purchase order with Persimmony International, Inc. in the amount of $831,616 for license renewal and maintenance of the Public Health’s Home Visiting Program database for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of the three (3) year purchase order is $831,616. Approximately 62% of the expense is reimbursed through the Targeted Case Management (TCM) program. Further revenue offset will be generated by the Medi-cal Administrative Activities (MAA). County funds will be used to cover any unfunded amount. BACKGROUND: The Public Health Clinical Program provides home visiting services to patients. The Persimmony software program was developed specifically for the Home Visiting Program to enhance nurse productivity and program accountability and to generate reports that are used to support the direct billing of revenue reimbursements. This would create potential for increased risk of patient chart audit exceptions and reduced operational oversight and monitoring capabilities. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
