APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept a grant in the
amount of $15,000 from the City of Walnut Creek for Small Business Development (SBD) Program funding to
provide consultation, training, and information.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$15,000: 100% City of Walnut Creek Funding
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center of Contra Costa County (CCCSBDC) requests Board
Approval to enter into a Sub grantee/Sponsor Agreement with The Walnut Creek City- Community Development
Block Grant Consortium (CDBG).
The expertise of the Contra Costa Small Business Development Center (CCCSBDC) provides much needed
professional training and guidance in such matters as marketing, hiring, and financial stability, and has agreed to
provide these services to a minimum of 10 Walnut Creek licensed low to moderate income (LMI) business owners.
Funding term for this project is 7/01/2013 through 6/30/2014 with a total
