HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09102013 - C.110RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-925-21 with Lincoln Child Center, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective June 1, 2013, to amend Novation Contract #24-925-20, to increase the payment limit by $86,858, from $2,482,168 to a new payment limit of $2,569,026, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, and no increase to the automatic extension amount of $1,241,084, through December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 48% by Federal Financial Participation, 48% County Realignment and 4% Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing therapy, medication support, case management, outreach, and crisis intervention services to elementary and junior high-aged students in East County in order to reduce the need for out-of-home placements. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2013, for the provision of school-based mental health services for severely emotionally disturbed (SED) children and their families. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-925-21 will provide one-time MHSA funds that will allow Contractor to provide additional training including, staff training for the Multi-Dimensional Family Treatment Program, through June 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not receive funding to implement enhancements to their programs. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable.
