HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09102013 - C.106RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with R-Computer, in an amount not to exceed $360,000, for purchase of the Hewlett Packard personal computer systems and related computer accessories for the period from September 15, 2013 through September 14, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: Health Services Information Technology supports approximately 4,500 computer systems throughout Contra Costa Health Services. This funding provides for the replacement of approximately 400 old computer systems. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, the Department will have many computers that are outdated; no longer supported by Microsoft posing network security vulnerability, and not able to run the newer applications supporting the ccLink electronic health record (EHR). CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None.
