HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09102013 - C.96RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Citrix Systems Inc. in an amount not to exceed $237,486.30 for purchase of Citrix maintenance support renewals for our Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System from September 30, 2013 through October 1, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: The Citrix Systems, Inc. software, maintenance, and technical support are Epic related maintenance support renewals. The Epic EHR system requires the use of Citrix Terminal Services. By deploying Citrix the Health Services Department can also allow secure access from nearly any device accessing the Epic EHR system. Citrix also improves remote access to the Epic EHR for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center on-call clinical staff. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without a current maintenance and technical agreement, Contra Costa Health Services would not be able to receive support in the event of a software or technical issue.
