Subject:Amendment #26-644-10 with MGA Healthcare, Inc.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
temporary absences and emergencies.
Currently, the pharmacy department has 12 vacant positions. The Contractor provides qualified staff to cover
vacancies to allow the department to provide services to CCRMC patients. At the time of negotiations, the payment
limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization during the term of the agreement was higher
than originally anticipated.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-644-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional temporary
pharmacy coverage through December 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring pharmacy services at CCRMC may not have access to
Contractor’s services which may result in a reduction in the overall level of services to the community.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
