APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director,
a purchase order amendment with George Reed Table Mountain Quarry, to increase the payment limit by $89,200 to
a new payment limit of $360,000, for chip seal aggregate, and extend the term from June 30, 2013 through June 30,
2014, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funded by 100% local Road funds.
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Road Maintenance maintains over 600 miles of roads in Contra Costa County. To do so requires tons
of aggregate. As bid on Bidsync No. 1004-003, George Reed Table Mountain Quarry was awarded this commodity.
The original purchase was for one year with four possible one-year extensions. This request represents the fourth of
four possible one-year extensions.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this agreement is not approved, purchasing aggregate products from George Reed Table Mountain Quarry will
discontinue.
