HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09102013 - C.69RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #29-541 with Contra Costa County Office of Education, a government agency, to pay County an amount not to exceed $13,000, to provide mental health services for emotionally disturbed special education students at County’s Juvenile Hall, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Interagency Agreement will result in a total payment to County, not to exceed $13,000. (No County match) BACKGROUND: This Agreement will allow Agency to provide funding for County to provide mental health services to special education students who in the County’s Juvenile Hall and in need of mental health services, pursuant to their Individualized Education Plan. Under Interagency Agreement #29–541, Agency will pay County for the provision of mental health services for emotionally disturbed special education students, through June 30, 2014. If this agreement is not approved, Agency will not pay County for providing services to students at the County’s Juvenile Hall. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS).
