APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept grant funding in
the amount of $5,000 from the U.S. Bank to provide consulting, training and business information to owners and
potential owners of businesses in the City of Brentwood.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$5,000: 100% Funding by U.S. Bank
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center of Contra Costa County (CCCSBDC) requests Board
approval to enter into a Sub grantee/Sponsor Agreement with U.S. Bank. The expertise of CCCSBDC resources
provides much needed professional advice to Contra Costa County businesses.
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center will provide consulting, training and business information to
ten low-to-moderate income (LMI) business owners or potential business owners in Contra Costa County. The
purpose of this training is to provide area businesses with professional guidance in such matters as marketing, hiring,
and financial stability.
