APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept grant funding in
the amount of $7,500 from the City of Brentwood to provide consulting, training and business information to owners
and potential owners of businesses in the City of Brentwood.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$7,500: 100% Funding from the City of Brentwood.
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Small Business Development Center of Contra Costa County (CCCSBDC) requests Board
Approval to enter into a Sub grantee/Sponsor Agreement with the City of Brentwood. The expertise of CCCSBDC
resources provides much needed professional advice to Brentwood business. The Contra Costa Small Business
Development Center will participate in a total of five three hour Ad-Hoc events, workshops, or panels. The
CCCSBDC will deliver eleven two hour workshops and thirty five one hour advising sessions for the City of
Brentwood. The purpose of this training is to provide Brentwood area businesses with professional guidance in such
matters as marketing, hiring, and financial stability with the intent of helping
