Subject:Add eight (8) 1.0 FTE Social Casework Assistants (XDVB) (represented) to Children and Families Services Bureau
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Not hiring of these position will continue to result increased work for the Social Casework Specialists who are
responsible for the on-going management of cases. When the Social Casework Specialists have high caseloads the
department is at risk on not providing mandated services.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
These services are essential to the child’s ability to receive services in a timely manner; their ability to return
home quickly, and can result in the child being placed in and out of home care due to lack of "reasonable services"
available to families.
