HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09102013 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21341 to add Information Systems Manager I (LTNA) (represented) position at salary level ZA5 1884 ($6711 - $8157) in the Employment and Human Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval this position will increase Annual Salary by $153,852. This will also result in additional retirement cost by $55,125. The position will be funded Federal 45%, State 45% and County10%. BACKGROUND: Due to the greater involvement of IT and Technology programs related to fiscal purposes of the department it has been determined that an IS manager I position is needed. The successful candidate will address operational issues including problem escalation, trend analysis, and technical analysis, as well as administrative duties such as supervision, training, and allocation of staff. Project Management duties include requirements gathering, planning, prioritizing, implementing, and documenting lessons learned. In addition, the Information Systems Manager will address process improvement, system design, and strategic planning. Due to the critical need for all of tasks to be completed accurately and timely, mid management must be strengthened with the additional position or quality and timeliness will be significantly impacted. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this position is not added the Department will experience significant impact in the timely implementation of IT projects in meeting the timelines of regulatory mandates of our programs.
