BOYD , Deputy RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT resignation of David Thayer, DECLARE a vacancy in Consumer of any age, Seat 4 on the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority (PA) Advisory Committee, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Employment and Human Services Director. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: Mr. Thayer submitted his resignation on July 24, 2013. His term expires on March 6, 2014. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) The Mission of the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee is to provide advice and assistance to the Board, staff of the Public Authority and IHSS; and to provide a forum for discussion for consumers of personal assistance services, providers, advocates and other interested parties to participate in Public Authority policy and program development. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee may not be able to conduct routine business.
