HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08132013 - FPD D.2RECOMMENDATION(S):
AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee, to submit a response to a request from the East Contra Costa Fire
Protection District (ECCFPD) regarding potential interest in providing a quote for fire protection services to the
ECCFPD.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
The annual operating costs for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District are higher than the East Contra Costa
Fire Protection District, so it is unlikely that any quote for services would be competitive. Due to the fiscal status of
the Fire District, any proposal for services would have to be cost-neutral.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The District will not provide a response to the ECCFPD regarding interest in providing fire protection services.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact.
