APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Risk Manager to execute a contract amendment agreement with TCS Risk
Management Services to increase the total payment limit by $4,250 to an new total payment limit of $168,250 for the
cost of analyzing the County's Public Self Insurer's Annual Report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Cost for report analysis will be paid from Workers’ Compensation Internal Service Funds.
BACKGROUND:
TCS Risk Management Services administers the County's ergonomic programs to prevent or reduce the level of
injuries sustained by employees, resulting in savings in workers' compensation claims.
TCS Risk Management also compares Contra Costa County's Workers' Compensation data with that of several other
Counties and issues a report analyzing the injury numbers and claims costs. This report is a tool to analyze the
Workers' Compensation program and make recommendations for lowering the average claims payments as well as
identifying any trends.
