HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08132013 - C.36RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County Grant Award #29-356 (#EMS-12154) with the State of California Emergency Medical Services Authority, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $13,798, for the County’s EMS Core Measure Project, for the period from February 25, 2013 through March 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Grant Award will result in an amount not to exceed $13,798 of funding from the State of California Emergency Medical Services Authority for County’s EMS Core Measure Project. No County match required. BACKGROUND: The purpose of the County EMS system core measure project is to increase the accessibility and accuracy of pre-hospital data for public, policy, academic and research purposes and to facilitate EMS system evaluation and improvement through a grant from the California Health Care Foundation CHCF). Upon development of the Statewide Core Measures, the County EMS Authority will conduct three (3) two-day data workshops for EMS system participant throughout the State. Each session will include a day of instruction on how to develop a core quality indicator, and attendees will conduct a variety of exercise related to the measures developed by the task force.
