APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director or designee, to execute the month-to-month Rental
Agreement effective July 2, 2013, between Contra Costa County and Paul E. Forestant and Leslie C. Forestant on
behalf of Contra Costa County.
AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check in the amount of $1,000.00 per month in accordance with the
terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement, payable to Paul E. Forestant and Leslie C. Forestant, 2627 Chanslor
Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This activity is funded by Contra Costa Transportation Authority.
BACKGROUND:
These property rights are required for the San Pablo Dam Road Interchange Project in accordance with the approved
plans and specifications. The County is in the process of appraising and acquiring the land and triplex located

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
at 1422 Humboldt Avenue in San Pablo. Since the County cannot prevent the owner from renting the units before
the County has acquired the property for the project, the County wishes to enter into a rental agreement with the
property owner for the vacant units to minimize relocation costs that may occur for future occupants.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County could be liable for additional relocation expenses if the property is rented to other tenants.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
