HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08062013 - C.107RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-297-8 with East Bay Perinatal Medical Associates, a Partnership, in an amount not to exceed $700,000 to provide Maternal-Fetal Medicine services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. On July 12, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-297-7 with East Bay Perinatal Medical Associates, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013, for the provision of professional Maternal-Fetal Medicine services for Contra Costa Health Plan members. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
