Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #26-577-10 with All Health Services, Corporation, effective August 1, 2013, to amend
Contract #26-577-6 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-577-9), to increase the payment limit by $140,663,
from $3,500,000 to a new payment limit of $3,640,663, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2011
through September 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On October 25, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-577-6 (as amended by Amendment
Agreement #26-577-9) with All Health Services, Corporation, for the period from October 1, 2011 through
September 30, 2013, for the provision of temporary medical staffing services including Registered Nurses, Licensed
Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical, Speech, Respiratory and Occupational Therapist, and
Psychiatric Technicians.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-577-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional temporary
nursing services, due to increased number of inmates and medication dispensing at the West County Detention
Facility, through September 30, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers and the County's
Main Detention Facility would not have appropriate medical staff coverage during staff absences therefore patients
would go untreated.
