APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Treasurer-Tax Collector, or designee, to execute a contract with KUBRA America
West, Incorporated in an amount not to exceed $100,000, for the processing of County's customers' credit/debit card
and electronic check payments, for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are no initial costs for the implementation of the services, all fees have been waived, nor are there any
scheduled, ongoing or significant recurring costs to the County for using the services.
The use of the new credit/debit and electronic check payment service will result in higher revenue collections, lower
administrative costs and lower convenience fees charged to the customer.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
credit card, debit card and electronic checks. KUBRA provides a wider array of payment services at lower
convenience fees than our current vendor. Consequently, greater efficiencies can be achieved at a lower cost to the
customer.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office will continue to use the current payment gateway
vendor, which charges a higher convenience fee for the equivalent payment service.
