HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08062013 - C.73RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Clerk-Recorder, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with AtPac, Inc., to extend the term from June 30, 2013 through June 30, 2015 and increase the payment limit by $511,066 to a new payment limit of $1,655,208 for licensing and maintenance of the integrated Clerk-Recorder Imaging and Information System. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact on the County General Fund for this contract extension. The original contract and this extension are funded by dedicated Modernization Trust Fund monies (Org. 2451). The original contract contained provisions for two 2-year extensions. We would like to execute the second extension at this time. The extension will increase the contract payment limit by $511,066, from $1,144,142 to $1,655,208. The cost of this contract is included in the current budget. BACKGROUND: AtPac's custom software systems are the basis of the day-to-day operations of the Clerk-Recorder Division. These automated systems allow the division to provide the core functions of recording documents, providing certified copies of our records, issuing marriage licenses, imaging and indexing records for permanent preservation/archive, maintaining multiple database systems for redundancy and back-up and several other vital functions the division provides to the public.
