APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with Liberty Adult Education to increase the payment limit by $18,713 to a new payment limit not to
exceed $102,917, for continued outreach and training to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids
(CalWORKs) clients, for the period June 30, 2013 through August 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$102,917: 100% CalWORKs Single Allocation
BACKGROUND:
This amendment will extend current contracts until August 31, 2013 to allow the full contract amount to be expended.
Contract was issued to Liberty Adult Education to provide community outreach and training to CalWORKs clients.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Employment and Human Services Department will be unable to provide these services to CalWORKs clients.
