Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21338 to add five (5) Exempt Medical Staff Physician (VPW9) positions
at salary level 1P2 2220 (9915.82 - 14010.79); add five (5) Family Nurse Practitioner positions (VWSB) at salary
level L35 1873 ($8147.67 - 9903.54); and add two (2) Exempt Medical Staff Dentist positions (VPW0) positions at
salary level 1P2 2027 (8191.00 - 11573.66) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $2,675,170, including pension costs of
$607,982, and will be fully funded by the Affordable Care Act and Federally Qualified Health Care Funds.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the expansion of the Concord Health Clinic, the County will be serving an increased number of patients. As a
result, these new positions are needed to provide adequate levels of patient care and specialty services.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the Health Services Department will not have sufficient staff to support the Concord
Health Clinic expansion which may have a negative impact on patient care.
