HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06252013 - C.125RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, on behalf of the Public Works Director, to execute a Program Agreement and blanket purchase orders with Caltronics, Sharp, Toshiba and Kyocera, for copiers and printers, for the period July 1, 2013 through June 31, 2017, Countywide. (100% County User Departments) FISCAL IMPACT: Copier and printer costs to be paid by County Departments. BACKGROUND: Purchasing Services manages the copier program which allows departments to choose the vendors and systems that work best for them. Through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process (BidSync Bid #1201-003B), Purchasing has selected four vendors that best meet the requirements for service, equipment, and price. The selected vendors are Caltronics Business Systems, Kyocera Document Solutions, Toshiba Business Solutions, and Sharp Business Systems. Purchase orders are issued for each equipment placement, utilizing established pricing under the program. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If these agreements are not approved, costs for copiers and printers may increase.
