Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23–491-8 with CJS Solutions, LLC, a limited liability, effective May 1, 2013, to amend
Contract #23–491-6, to increase the payment limit by $1,500,000, from $1,200,000, to a new payment limit of
$2,700,000, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Amendment is 100% funded by the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program
of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On March 19, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–491-6 with CJS Solutions, LLC, for the
provision of professional consultation and technical support to the Department’s Health Services Information System
with regards project analysis and implementation of the Epic Electronic Health Records system including system
optimization, configuration, training, operational improvement and information security, for the period from January
1, 2013 through

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
December 31, 2013.
Approval of this Amendment Agreement #23–491-8 will allow the Contractor to be reimbursed for additional
expenses and hours of services incurred during the provision of mutually agreed services regarding project analysis
and implementation of the Epic Electronic Health Records system, through June 30, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide additional services needed for completion
of the Electronic Health Records installation.
