Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #26-732-2 with Christopher John Voscopoulos, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective
May 1, 2013, to amend Contract #26-732 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-732-1), to increase the
payment limit by $25,000, from $90,000 to a new payment limit of $115,000, with no change in the original term of
September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In October 2012, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract
#26-732 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-732-1) with Christopher John Voscopoulos, M.D., for the
period from September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013, for the provision of professional anesthesiology services at
Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Health Centers.
At the time of negotiations, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization
during the term of the agreement was higher than originally anticipated
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-732-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services
through August 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, County clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional anesthesiology
services reducing overall levels of service to the community.
