Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-532-1 with Asante Alliance, LLC, a limited liability company, effective April 1, 2013,
to amend Contract #23-532-1, to increase the payment limit by $245,000, from $300,000 to a new payment limit of
$545,000, with no change in the original term of November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Program of the
American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and the Delivery System Reform and Incentive Pool funding. (No rate
increase)
BACKGROUND:
On December 4, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-532 with Asante Alliance, LLC for the
period from November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013, for the provision of professional consultation and
technical assistance to the Department with regard to Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project including, but not
limited to, project management, implementation, integration training, information security and network management
support.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-532-1 will allow the Contractor to provide additional professional
consultation and technical assistance services through October 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, County will not have access to Contractor’s expert technical assistance in order to
support optimization of the EHR Project.
