HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06252013 - C.99RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23–455–5 with Xerox Consulting Company (formerly ACS Consultant Company, Inc.), a corporation, effective May 1, 2013, to amend Contract #23–455 (as amended by #23-455-1 through #23-455-3), to increase the payment limit by $500,000, from $8,500,000, to a new payment limit of $9,000,000, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2009 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is 100% funded by the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On November 3, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–455 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extensions #23-455-1 and #23-455-2 and Amendment Agreement #23-455-3), with ACS Consultant Company, Inc. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Health Services Information System with regards to Electronic Health Records program, for the period from October 1, 2009 through June 30, 2013. Approval of Amendment Agreement #23–455–5 will allow the Contractor to be reimbursed for additional expenses and hours of services incurred during the provision of mutually agreed services for the implementation of the Epic Electronic Health Records program, through June 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide additional services needed for completion of the Electronic Health Records installation.
