HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06252013 - C.75RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Public Works Director, to execute an
amendment to a purchase order with Kimball Midwest, to increase the amount payable by $95,000 to a new total of
$180,000, for fasteners and miscellaneous hardware, and extend the term from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2014,
Countywide. (100% General Fund)
FISCAL IMPACT:
This cost is to be funded through Facilities 12/13, 13/14, 14/15 maintenance budgets. (100% General Fund)
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Materials Management uses several types of nuts, bolts, fasteners, security fasteners and other
hardware for vehicle and facility repair and maintenance. This becomes a sizable amount of products. As bid on
Bidsync #1109-005 Nuts & Bolts and 1109-007 Security Screws, Kimball Midwest has been awarded these
commodities. We originally bid this for two (2) years with three (3) possible one-year extensions. This request
represents the first of three possible one-year extensions. We are asking to increase the purchase order value and the
effective dates for this first year extension.
