HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06252013 - C.58RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with the Lucile Packard Foundation to extend the grant term from June 30, 2012 to August 15, 2013 with no change in the payment limit of $10,000 to continue the provision of the Developing Vital Community Partnership Through Data Sharing Training Program. FISCAL IMPACT: County received $10,000, 100% Lucile Packard Foundation grant. No County match. BACKGROUND: The grant supports Employment and Human Services (EHSD), Children and Family Services (CFS) Bureau's Developing Vital Community partnerships through Data Sharing and Training program. Seminars will be offered in each regional area o f the County. This grant extension will allow the EHSD CFS's Developing Vital Community Partnerships Through Data Sharing and Training program to continue. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The training program would not continue due to lack of funding. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: The grant funding supports one of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card, 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families" by expanding resources available to community partners to provide quality services to children and families.
