HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06252013 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21307 to add one (1) full time Employment and Human Services Division Manager (represented) position at salary plan and grade ($6,625 - $8,073) in the Employment and Human Services Administration Services Bureau. FISCAL IMPACT: This position has a total annual cost of $158,880 of which the county cost will be $15,888. The position will be funded 45% Federal revenue, 45% State revenue, and 10% County. The annual pension cost will be $56,927. BACKGROUND: The Department requests to add one full time Employment and Human Services Division Manager (XADD) position in Administration to manage the Staff Development Division and to oversee all leadership development programs for the Department. The position will also be instrumental in the development and planning of the department's succession planning and oversee all leadership develoment programs. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for developing substantive program policy and making outside contacts on behalf of the Department, which will require a high level of information about the operation of EHSD and how the various areas inteact. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Department will not have an appropriately classified individual overseeing Staff Development and Leadership programs as needed.
