HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06042013 - C.97RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-722-1 with Rose S. Cohen, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $1,350,000, to provide cardiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from May 1, 2013 through April 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise I Fund. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On July 10, 2012 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-722, with Rose S. Cohen, M.D. to provide cardiology services including clinic coverage, consultation, training and reading cardiology studies at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013. Approval of Contract #26-722-1 will provide continuity of care and treatment at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and at the Contra Costa Health Centers by allowing Contactor to continue providing cardiology services through April 30, 2016.
