Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#25-043-12 with Anka Behavioral Health, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed
$238,891, to provide operation of Multi-Service Centers for County’s Family Employment Resources and Services
Together (FERST) Program, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
(No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing a variety of supportive services on a
drop-in basis, including case management, food, showers, clothing, information and referrals, em-ployment training,
housing counseling, transportation and health care to homeless adults and families.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
July 10, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25-043-11 with Anka Behavioral Health, Incorporated,
for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 for the provision of operation of Multi-Service Centers for
County’s Family Employment Resources and Services Together (FERST) Program.
Approval of Contract #25-043-12 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County’s homeless population will not receive these homeless support services.
