Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#24-628-13 with Nancy E. Ebbert, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $299,880 to provide
professional outpatient psychiatric services, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Services Act. (Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years, County’s Health Services Department, Behavioral Health Services Division, has contracted
with mental health and other medical specialists for the provision of professional mental health services for County
residents in need of services.
On June 16, 2012 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-628-12 with Nancy E. Ebbert, M.D., to provide
psychiatric services for the

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Intensive Early Psychosis Intervention Program, for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
Approval of Contract #24-628-13 will allow Contractor to continue to provide professional outpatient psychiatric
services through June 30, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient
psychiatric services, reducing overall levels of service to the community.
