HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06042013 - C.72RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-058-18 with Seneca Family of Agencies, a non-profit corporation, effective April 1, 2013, to amend Novation Contract #74-058-17, to increase the payment limit by $140,729, from $6,745,537 to a new payment limit of $6,886,266, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $281,457 from $3,372,769 to a new payment limit of $3,654,226, with no change in the term of the automatic extension, through December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is funded 36% by Federal Financial Participation, 37% by Mental Health Realignment, 25% Mt. Diablo Unified School District and 2% Mental Health Services Act. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-058-18 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through December 31, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, SED children throughout Contra Costa County will have reduced access to Specialty Mental Health Services. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS).
