Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County,
Amendment Agreement #28-528-45 with the County of Alameda, effective March 1, 2012, to amend Agreement
#28-528-44, to increase the amount payable to County by $8,228 from $1,515,878 to a new total of $1,524,106, with
no change in the original term of the agreement from March 1, 2012 through February 28, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this amendment agreement will result in an increase of $8,228 in funding from the County of Alameda,
as the Grantee of federal funds under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006, Part A, for
coordination of essential services to Contra Costa County residents with HIV Disease and their families. No County
match is required.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
of Alameda as “Grantee” for the purpose of administering the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act
of 2006, Part A, funds for coordination of essential services to Contra Costa County residents with HIV Disease and
their families.
On May 15, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #28-528-44 with the County of Alameda, as the fiscal
agent and grantee for the Ryan White CARE Act, Title I and Minority AIDS Initiative funds, for coordination of
services to Contra Costa residents with HIV disease and their families, for the period from March 1, 2012 through
February 28, 2013. Approval of Amendment Agreement #28–528-45 will allow additional funding for services
provided to County residents with HIV Disease and their families, through February 28, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County will not receive these additional funds for provision of coordination of
essential services to Contra Costa County residents with HIV Disease and their families.
