APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Department of Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute a
contract with Environmental Science Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $131,605 for the preparation of the
Keller Canyon landfill Land Use Permit Amendment Environmental Impact Report, for the period May 1, 2013
through December 31, 2015 .
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the General Fund. The cost for preparing the environmental impact report is charged to the project
applicant.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Conservation and Development is the lead agency for the environmental review of the proposed
Keller Canyon Land Use Amendment. ESA was retained to prepare the Environmental Impact report. That contract
expired on March 31, 2013. The Department wishes to continue the services of ESA to complete the environmental
impact report.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Department will be unable to complete the Environmental Impact Report for Keller Canyon landfill Land Use
Permit Amendment application.
