ADOPT Resolution No. 2013/197 to approve and authorize the Employment and Human Services Director, or
designee, to execute a contract with California Department of Aging to decrease the contract amount by $81,827 from
$4,012,910 to a new total contract amount of $3,931,083 due to implementation of federal sequestration reductions to
the Older Americans Act.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$3,931,083, 100% Federal, Older Americans Act. Decrease the total contract amount by $81,827 from $4,012,910 to
a new total contract amount of $3,931, 083 (Agreement #AP-1213-07, Amendment 2) due to federal reduction in
funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department, Area Agency on Aging provides services to low income older
residents of Contra Costa County (CCC) under the Older Americans Act. Services include, but are limited to disease
prevention and health promition, nutrition counseling and nutrition risk screening services, medication management,
information through multipurpose sernior centers, congregate meal sites, home delivery meal programs, information
services at appropriate
