Subject:Contract #26-473-17 with SHC Services, Inc. (dba Supplemental Health Care)
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
2012 through March 31, 2013.
Approval of Contract #26-473-17 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide temporary medical professionals to
assist the Divisions during peak workloads, temporary absences and emergency situations, through March 31, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, Contra Costa Health Centers and the County's
Main Detention Facility would not have appropriate medical coverage during temporary staff absences and therefore
patients would go untreated.

Not applicable.
