Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21283 to cancel Mental Health Program Supervisor position #8014 and
add one Mental Health Program Manager (VQDC) position at salary level ZA5 1844 ($6450.48 - 7840.60) in the
Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximatley $12,416, including pension costs of $2,998,
and will be funded by AB109.
BACKGROUND:
Currently, the Behavioral Health division has two units without a manager. The Forensic Mental Health unit has 10
staff members and the Conditional Release Program has 8 staff members. This new position would be responsible for
providing oversight and management to both of these units. Duties of this postion will include: Planning, organizing
and managing mental health services in assigned programs; overseeing and monitoring the delivery of mental health
services ; conducting program planning and development as well as program evaluation and performance outcome
studies; and planning, assigning and reviewing the work of subordinate staff. The Mental Health Program Supervisor
position is vacant and is being cancelled as cost offset.
