HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04232013 - C.25RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21279 to add five Health Services Systems Analyst II positions (LBVC) at salary level ZB5 1784 ($6078.43 - 8145.68); one Health Services Systems Analyst I position (LBWC) at salary level ZB5 1595 ($5041.03 – 6755.47); one Health Services Clinical Systems Analyst II position (LBTE) at salary level ZB5 2142 ($8664.33 – 9552.43); and one Administrative Services Assistant II position (APVA) at salary level ZB5 1475 ($4476.29 – 5440.96) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $1,153,361, including pension costs of $251,187, and will be funded by Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment (ARRA) funds as well as state Delivery System Reform Incentive Program funds. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) the County's electronic medical records software, as well as other various IT functions. Duties of the Systems Analyst positions will include: creating project plans and coordinating steps to meet emplementation and upgrade schedules; implementing applications to support customers; developing detailed procedures on software installation and configuration.; and performing primary testing of upgrades before release. The Administative Services Assistant position will be responsible for monitoring project budgets and advising the project sponsor the status of project budget, monitoring project timelines and advising sponsor of deviations, providing Administrative support to the Information Technology Steering Committee, monitoring and tracking minutes and action items from the sub-committees, working with vendors to collect data and cost information to develop project proposals, and developing and maintaining policies, operating procedures and project documentation. The Information Systems Specialist position will be assigned to provide technical support to the project management team. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Health Services Information Technology Division will not have sufficient staff to support cclink, the County's electronic medical records software, as well as other IT functions of the Department.
