HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04232013 - C.22RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 21273 to transition one (1) Public Health Program Specialist-I Project (VBS2) (represented) position number 9089 at salary plan and grade Z15 1602 ($5,076-$6,170), and its incumbent into the Merit System as a permanent full-time Public Health Program Specialist-I (VBSD) (represented) position at salary plan and grade Z15 1602 ($5,076 - $6,170) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no additional cost associated with this action BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting to transition one Public Health Program Specialist-I Project position and its incumbent into the Merit System. The incumbent meets the criteria for transfer into the merit system as outlined in the Personnel Management Regulations, Section 1603. This position is assigned to the North Richmond Center for Health Clinic in Richmond, California. This position has been filled for approximately 13 years and the need for the position will continue indefinitely. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the incumbent of 13 years will not receive the benefits of being a merit system employee.
