HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04162013 - C.47RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Atco Towing, in an amount not to exceed $185,000 for Vehicle Towing, for the period from February 1, 2013 through January 31, 2016, Countywide. (100% General Funds) FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of Atco Towing is in the 12/13, 12/14, and 14/15 Fleet ISF Budget (100% General Funds). BACKGROUND: Public Works Fleet Maintenance maintains all of the County's vehicles. Vehicle towing is an important part of getting damaged or broken units from one point to another. As bid on Bidsync # 1208-002, Atco Towing has been awarded as the County's primary Towing vendor. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, then Towing vehicles at bid pricing will discontinue. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
