Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21264 to add six (6) 40/40; two (2) 32/40; and one (1) 36/40 Exempt
Medical Staff Physician (VPW9) (represented) positions in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $2,218,998.66 and will be offset by
Federally Qualified Health Care Revenue.
BACKGROUND:
This action is being requested in order to staff various primary care clinics throughtout the County, as well as
speciality services. Positions will be located at the Concord Health Center, Pittsburg Health Center, West County
Health Center, North Richmond Center for Health, and the Martinez outpatient facility.
The new West County Health Center is larger than the old Richmond Health Center and can handle more patient
clinics and appointments. At the other clinics the Department is expanding access, including telephone appointments,
evening and weekend clinics and short notice appointments.
