BACKGROUND: On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/337, which requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership attendance, required training/certificate (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for the following year, on the second Tuesday in December. The attached report fulfills this requirement for the County Service Area M-16 Citizens Advisory Committee. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: None. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None. Welles, Chairperson Activities and Accomplishments The primary goals of the M-16 Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) in 2012 and going forward was, and is, to increase community awareness and to represent the community’s interests, concerns and voice for the Board of Supervisors and the administrative department regarding the desires of the community in the areas of landscaping, recreation and park facilities and services. The CAC efforts have resulted in a major improvement in 2012 with the completion of the pedestrian path at the north end of town. Membership The current CAC board is dedicated and hard working. We feel that we have made some positive changes in our community. The CAC had one new appointee; and at the end of 2012, two Alternate vacancies remained open on the CAC. Welles • Member, Steven Schwartz • Member, Gretchen Adams • Member, Scott McConnell • Member, Jeff Ficker (newly appointed in October, 2012 & Resigned in November, 2012) • Alternate Member, Vacant • Alternate Member, Vacant Attendance – 2012 No meetings were necessary or held in the months of January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October, 2012. Meetings were held on: November 13, 2012 Absent – Jeff Ficker December 11, 2012 All members in attendance (one seat Vacant) CAC Work Plan and Objectives for 2013 A main priority for the CAC in 2013, will to continue to increase community awareness of the CAC and community input. We will continue our work on all parks in Clyde with continued upkeep and development as funding becomes available such as the WW funding to the designated efforts in Clyde and Maybeck Parks. County Service Area M-16 Citizens Advisory Committee meetings are held on an as needed basis at 6:30 p.m. at the Clyde Community Center located at 109 Wellington Avenue, Clyde. Chair: Mary C.
